Orchideye asked: I have just about reached my limit with my melasma.
It’s basically hyperpigmentation on my face. At first glance it is not too noticeable but in certain light it looks awful. I had a few glycolic peels done and it made the color darker! While everything else looked better– pores got smaller, scars faded– the hyperpigmentation got worse.
I’ve tried everything– Clinique Dark Spot Corrector, hydroquinine, Origins, but nothing works.
I am very diligent with sunscreen, staying out of the sun, and using products. I take good care of my skin, but this is really starting to get to me. I also can’t afford to see a derm right now, and it was the derm who told me to use hydroquinine and the Obagi system, and it didn’t work at all.
I need to know of a product that actually WORKS, is affordable for the amount I get, and won’t use hydroquinine since I found out it’s not the best ingredient.
Thanks!
